About the Facilities Maintenance Department

The Facilities Maintenance Department provides critical upkeep and repair support to all buildings and structures belonging to the Town. This includes plumbing, electrical, interior and exterior lighting, and signage work, along with repairs to internal physical structures of Town buildings such as windows, floors, walls, and heating, ventilation & cooling (HVAC) systems. Additionally, the Facilities Director oversees the janitorial services that provide clean and sanitary working conditions to employees and visitors.

The Facilities Maintenance Department is on call at all times to respond to emergencies within Town structures in its purview, and provide cross-level support to members of the Public Works Department (i.e., Water, Wastewater, and Streets) when environmental conditions arise that may impact the structural and/or internal facilities of Town buildings.

Occasionally, the Facilities Maintenance Department is tasked with special duties to provide support to Town vendors when specialized work is done within a Town facility such as remodeling, painting, carpeting, floor installation, or telecommunications and data services.
